I was commissioned by ELLE Netherlands to create an illustration to go along with their article about the gender pay gap. To begin, I created two initial sketches. One of a woman counting up her money in a savings jar, and a second playing off this idea but with a man’s hand on the left and a woman’s hand on the right to show the disparity between their savings.
